– Yozhef Yozhefovych, how was the first part of the championship in the Ukrainian Premier League for you?
– To be honest, I had doubts that the season in Ukraine could start. After all, the situation is very difficult, given that the country is at war. These constant worries and interruptions of matches did not give me peace. However, the season started and went well, I want to say. This is not in terms of the quality of football, but in the fact that so far the competitions are taking place almost without disruptions. The match between “Metalista 1925” and “Veres” will be postponed.
But again, because of the war, many teams have to play outside their native walls, which is not good.
– Is there a team that pleasantly surprised you?
– Without a doubt, this is LNZ. Their coach, Vitaliy Ponomaryev, does not have much experience in leading teams at the highest level. Who did he lead? Only “Movement”. However, having accepted the Cherkasy team, the coach showed his ability to mold a combat-ready team in a short period of time. I am sure that before the start of the season, no one, including me, expected to see LNZ as the winter champion.
