FIFA reported that it received a total of about 500 million applications from those willing to purchase tickets for the 2026 World Cup matches.
Two million tickets have already been sold, and there are about 4-5 million free tickets left, which are planned to be sold in the near future.
Interestingly, the final match is only in the third place in terms of number of requests, while the opening match Mexico – South Africa is in the fourth position.
The game Colombia – Portugal has the highest demand at the moment, and the match Mexico – South Korea is in second place.
The Ukrainian national team has a chance to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, but for that it needs to go through the playoffs by beating Sweden, and then Poland or Albania.
