Inter’s forward Lautaro Martinez received the award for the best football player of December in the Italian championship, which was officially announced by the press service of Serie A.

During the month, Inter played three league matches – against Como, Genoa and Atalanta – and won the maximum result. In each of the matches, the Argentinian striker scored a goal, and in the game with Genoa, he also recorded an assist.

The team’s success did not go without individual recognition for the coaching staff: the head coach of Inter, Christian Kivu, was named the best coach of December in Serie A.

The Milan club currently leads the league table, and Martinez continues to fight for the title of the most productive player of the season.

The 28-year-old Argentine beat Napoli’s Rasmus Goylund, AC Milan’s Christian Pulisic, Atalanta’s Gianluca Scamakka, Torino’s Nikola Vlasic and Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz in the Player of the Month voting.
