“My prediction…” Usyk commented on the biggest fight of the year

Former absolute world champion Oleksandr Usyk shared his impressions of the fight between Terence Crawford and Saul Alvarez. According to the Ukrainian, the result was not a surprise for him.

“Nothing surprised me. I’ve said before that this is an even fight. But my prediction was Crawford’s victory,” Usyk said.

On the night of September 14, 2025, a large-scale boxing evening took place at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (USA), the main event of which was the fight for the title of absolute world champion. Representatives of the second middle weight (up to 76.2 kg) met in the ring – the holder of the WBC, WBO, WBA and IBF titles from Mexico Saul Alvarez and the American Terence Crawford.

The representative of the USA defeated his opponent after 12 rounds of intense confrontation, took the world championship titles from the Mexican and became the first boxer to win the title of absolute in three divisions.
