The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, awarded state honors to the winners and participants of the Invictus Games — the orders “For Merit” and “For Courage” of the III degree.
“Over the years, our national team won more than a hundred medals at the Invincible Games. But in my opinion, regardless of the results, you are all champions, you are all winners. You overcame hopelessness and despair, you didn’t let physical injury take over your spirit. And this is the most important thing,” Zelensky said.
The President stressed that Ukraine values and honors everyone who defended the independence of the state, and remembers those who gave their lives for it.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, awarded state decorations to 607 servicemen, of which 249 were awarded posthumously, for courage and selfless performance of military duty during the defense of Ukraine.
