According to the UNIAN correspondent, 277 people’s deputies voted for the adoption of the relevant project of Resolution No. 14377.
As UNIAN reported, on January 2, it became known that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi offered the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov to become the new Minister of Defense of Ukraine.
He emphasized that Fedorov “deeply deals with issues related to the “Drone Line” and works very effectively in the digitalization of public services.” Zelensky held a meeting with Fedorov, discussing defense modernization.
Bloomberg noted that by proposing to appoint Fedorov as Minister of Defense, Zelensky is betting on the development of drone technologies.
In addition, the appointment of Fedorov means a shift in the focus of the MoU towards technological warfare, that is, on scaling the production of drones, accelerating the introduction of new developments, working more closely with private manufacturers and startups, as well as integrating digital solutions directly into combat processes.
Fedorov was dismissed from the post of Minister of Digital TransformationWe will remind that today, January 13, the Verkhovna Rada voted to dismiss Mykhailo Fedorov from the post of First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. This decision was supported by 270 People’s Deputies of Ukraine.
