An increase in the production of solar energy in Ukraine is expected at the end of January and the beginning of February, which will significantly improve the situation in the country’s energy system.
Deputy Director of the Association of Energy and Natural Resources of Ukraine Andrii Zakrevskyi told about it.
“The maximum that people can prepare for is that on January 27-28, heat carriers will be poured into your houses. If everything is done correctly and it is cold, the coolants will then be filled in about a week. The temperature in the houses can vary from 5 to 10 degrees Celsius,” Zakrevsky explained.
The expert advises residents to have two thermometers – one in the attic, the other in the basement, and in case the temperature drops below 5 degrees, drain the coolants and wait for them to be refilled.
“In two weeks we enter the era of the great sun. We have a lot of solar power plants – 7 GW are connected now. Even if February is cold, we will have large amounts of electricity during the day. This will make it possible to cancel queues and disconnection schedules,” Zakrevsky said.
According to him, the beginning of February will show how accurate these forecasts will be.
On Wednesday, January 14, restrictions on electricity consumption were again introduced throughout Ukraine. In a number of regions, due to another Russian attack, emergency power outages are used.
