During the Russian large-scale attack on the capital, the police received a report that an explosion had occurred in one of the hostels on Zhilyanska Street.

The law enforcement officers established that two residents of the hostel, who had recently arrived in the capital, drank alcoholic beverages together, after which they quarreled. As a result of the conflict, one of the men took out a grenade and threw it in the direction of the other.

“No one was injured as a result of the explosion: the 42-year-old man managed to hide in the next room,” the police said.

Law enforcement officers detained a 27-year-old offender. He was charged with suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and Part 2 of Art. 15 h. 1 st. 115 (attempted murder). “At the request of the investigators, the suspect will be in custody.
