The 28-year-old footballer signed a contract until December 31, 2027. Earlier, Atlético Mineiro already informed about reaching an agreement regarding the transfer, and now the Ukrainian club has confirmed the agreement.
Maikon joined Shakhtar in the summer of 2018 and played a total of 98 matches for the team, scoring 8 goals and providing 9 assists. Together with Shakhtar, the midfielder twice became the champion of Ukraine (2019, 2020), won the Cup of Ukraine (2019) and the Super Cup of Ukraine (2021).
The Brazilian last played for Shakhtar on December 11, 2021. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Maikon played on loan for Corinthians for four years.
Last season, the midfielder played 43 matches, scoring three goals and one assist. According to the Transfermarkt portal, the market value of the player is 2 million euros.
