“Having the responsibility to lead Manchester United is a great honor. I know what it takes to succeed here. I am now focused on helping the players achieve the standards we expect from this incredible club. We know this group of players are more than capable of doing that,” said Carrick.
“I have already worked with many of the players and followed the team closely in recent years. I have full faith in their talent, commitment and ability to succeed. There is still a lot to fight for this season and we are ready to bring everyone together to give the fans the performances their support deserves.”
