NRG unexpectedly withdrew from BLAST Bounty. Who will replace them?

BLAST organizers officially announced that Friendly Campers will perform at the tournament BLAST Bounty Season 1, replacing NRG, who dropped out of the competition on the eve of the start. The tournament will start today, January 12.

According to the BLAST regulations, the European team will take over the seeding of NRG, so they will meet HEROIC in the opening round. If the Friendly Campers win this match, they will start the second round of the tournament with the last seed.

It’s worth noting that the current lineup of Friendly Campers used to play under the ESC tag, but the team was sold to an unnamed organization in November. The identity of the team’s new owner is still unknown.

For the Polish team BLAST Bounty will be the second tournament in 2026. Friendly Campers previously played at the Urban Riga Open Season 2 where they finished 5th-6th, losing to MOUZ NXT in the quarterfinals.
