President Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed decrees on the dismissal and appointment of managers in the Volyn and Ternopil regions, and also appointed the ex-head of the Volyn Regional State Administration, Ivan Rudnytskyi, as deputy head of the SBU.

Details: Subsequently, Zelenskyi signed a number of decrees on personnel reshuffles. In particular, Ivan Rudnytskyi was dismissed from the post of head of the Volyn Regional State Administration based on his application. Roman Romanyuk was entrusted with the temporary performance of the duties of the head of the Volyn Regional State Administration.

In addition, the president appointed Taras Pastukh as the head of the Ternopil Regional State Administration.

By a separate decree, Ivan Rudnytskyi was appointed deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

The president signed all relevant decrees on January 12, 2026.

Reference: Ivan Rudnytskyi is a counter-intelligence officer, a colonel of the SBU with more than 20 years of experience. He started his service as an operative and later headed the regional offices of the SBU, in particular in the Zakarpattia and Volyn regions. In November 2024, by the decision of the president, he was appointed the head of the Volyn Regional Government.
