This morning, a student committed a knife attack in one of Kyiv’s schools. As a result of the incident, a teacher and a classmate of the attacker were injured.

In particular, in the morning, the boy attacked a teacher and a classmate with a knife in one of the schools in Kyiv. The incident happened at the beginning of the educational process, the attacker was detained by the police.
At the same time, according to the deputy head of the KMDA, Valentina Mondryivskyi, during the attack the boy had previously also harmed himself. All the victims – the teacher, the student and the schoolboy himself – are receiving medical assistance.
The attacker is 15 years oldhe was born in 2011.
“The police reacted very quickly, and now all the services are there. Social services are now working to understand the motives and reasons for such an act,” said Mondryivskyi.
According to him, the city authorities are keeping the situation under control and are working with specialists on issues of children’s safety and mental health.
