On Sunday, January 11, the capital and the Dnipropetrovsk region are facing emergency power outages.

The DTEK company reports on the unstable operation of the power system due to the consequences of Russian shelling.

Low temperatures increase the load, forcing to resort to forced measures.

Kyiv’s power system is still recovering from damage to key facilities. On the Left Bank, in the Pechersk and Holosiivsk districts, stabilization schedules do not work – only emergency shutdowns prevail.

“The city’s power system still hasn’t recovered from the shelling, the low temperature complicates the situation, so this is a forced step to protect it from accidents,” DTEK said.

In the Pechersk and Holosiivsk districts, the restrictions continue without a clear schedule, which makes planning difficult for thousands of Kyivites. The left bank of the capital also suffers from unexpected blackouts, because the networks cannot withstand peak loads.

Energy companies promise to promptly inform about any changes through Telegram channels and the company’s website.

We will remind you that the light is returning to Kyiv, but the networks cannot withstand the load.

Also, in Kyiv, energy workers returned the light to more than 150,000 homes after shelling.
