Promoter Eddie Hearn does not know if Anthony Joshua will return to the ring after two of his close friends were killed in a car accident.
“I had several conversations with Joshua. For now, give him time. I am surprised that now they are only asking about what’s next with his career. So far, it’s not about boxing and career. For now, Anthony is trying to deal with a personal tragedy.”
“If he does not return to the ring, no one has the right to accuse and condemn him. But I still believe that he will return.”
“For now, he needs to be given time. He has no belts, no obligations. He might not fight for 2-3 years or not at all,” Hearn said.
The accident happened in Nigeria. Joshua was in the car, but was not seriously injured. Chub
