French President Emmanuel Macron held meetings with the heads of parliamentary factions regarding the introduction of government troops into Ukraine after the end of the war. A key result of these negotiations was that, in general, no one was against the proposed course of action.

The French government advocates the introduction of its troops into Ukraine As journalists report that the meeting between Macron and the leaders of the parliamentary groups lasted for 3 hours.

About 30 people joined her: not only representatives of the parliament, but also the government.

Many high-ranking French officials were inclined to the view that the “Coalition of Interested Parties” could become a certain alternative to NATO, especially in matters of defense of Ukraine against new Russian aggression.

However, a significant number of politicians still have doubts about the readiness of the United States to intervene in the settlement of the war in the event of a ceasefire violation by the Russian Federation.

According to Macron, foreign peacekeepers, including French ones, will be stationed “far from the contact line.”

Matilda Pano, the leader of “Unconquered France” in the National Assembly, expressed her opinion on this issue.

She publicly confirmed that the faction will demand a UN mandate to introduce troops into the territory of Ukraine after the end of hostilities.
