According to the movement, servicemen of the 1152nd motorized rifle regiment of the Russian Federation, which is stationed in Vasylivka and Kamiansk, were ordered to carry out strict so-called “preventive measures” among the civilian population.
Instead of ideological processing of local residents, the occupiers introduced the concept of “preventive elimination of threats.” In practice, this means complete carte blanche for arbitrariness, searches, detention and violence.
The command convinces the personnel that there are allegedly no loyal citizens left in the frontline areas. Therefore, any contact with local residents begins with checks, searches and suspicions of cooperation with the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Cases of joint raids by the Russian military and the commandant’s office on basements and private houses were recorded in Kamiansk. During such “checks”, people’s phones, computers and other equipment are confiscated.
Civilians are detained even because of the presence of Ukrainian applications on smartphones. Often, such “detentions” are accompanied by robberies, which in the reports of the occupiers are described as “removal of means of ensuring subversive activities.”
“ATESH” agents document the names of officers who compile lists of “untrustworthy” citizens, as well as ordinary executors involved in violence and kidnappings. Every fact of repression is recorded in detailed reports,” the movement said.
