Manchester City faced new problems with the squad — winger Savinho joined the injured list. This was reported by OneFootball.

The Brazilian suffered the injury on January 1 during an English Premier League match against Sunderland, which ended in a goalless draw. After that, the footballer did not appear on the field in matches against Chelsea and Brighton. Only after the game with the “seagulls”, the head coach of the city, Pep Guardiola, outlined the approximate terms of the player’s recovery.

According to the Spanish coach, Savinho will miss a significant period and can return to training in about one and a half to two months.

In the 2025/26 season, the winger made 23 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing three assists.

At the end of last year, the winger signed a new contract until June 30, 2031.
