The legendary English football player Kevin Keegan diagnosed with cancer. This was reported by the press service of “Liverpool”, which expressed full support for the two-time winner of the “Golden Ball” and wished him a speedy recovery.
Keegan spent six years with the Merseysiders and became one of the key figures in the club’s golden period. Together with Liverpool, he won the European Cup, three league championships, two UEFA Cups and the FA Cup. In 1978 and 1979, the attacker won the Golden Ball.
In addition to appearances for Liverpool, Keegan played for Hamburg, Southampton, Newcastle and Scunthorpe. After the end of his career, he worked as a coach, leading Newcastle, Manchester City, Fulham, as well as the national team of England.
