Details: Rubio’s comments at the Capitol came amid heightened rhetoric from the Trump administration about taking control of Greenland.

The reporter asked Rubio if the US would abandon the option of using the US military to seize Greenland.
“I’m not here to talk about Denmark or military intervention. I’ll meet with them next week,” Rubio replied, adding that “we’ll talk to them then.”
It was previously reported that Denmark and Greenland are seeking negotiations with Rubio regarding the island.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt previously said that the US president and his advisers are discussing a number of options for the acquisition of Greenland, and that “the involvement of the US Armed Forces is always an option.”
