On Tuesday, it was reported that the famous heavyweight Anthony Joshua is ready to end his career after a car accident that happened in Nigeria.
Joshua himself was only slightly injured, but two of his friends and team members were killed. It is reported that this hit the boxer psychologically.
Joshua’s uncle, Adedamola Joshua, told the media that Anthony had made the decision to end his career and had told the family about it.
A number of well-known British and American media outlets have reached out to Eddie Hearn’s promoter and Matchroom, which has long handled the Briton’s affairs, for comment.
Both Hearn and the company refused to confirm or deny information about Joshua’s decision to quit boxing.
