The 55-year-old specialist signed a contract until the middle of 2028. From the 2026/27 season, ten Gag will replace current technical director Jan Streyer, who recently announced his retirement at the end of the current season.
Ten Gaag began his coaching career at Twente, later working at Ajax, Manchester United and Bayer Leverkusen.
We will remind, in November 2025, ten Gag was considered as a candidate for the position of head coach of Wolverhampton, but the agreement with the club did not take place.
