It is reported that the driver of the Kia Sorento, which was moving in the direction of the city of Merefa, lost control. As a result, the vehicle drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter passenger bus.
police photo As a result of the collision, 18 people aged between 17 and 70 were injured – bus passengers, a Kia Sorento passenger, as well as vehicle drivers. Three women were given the necessary medical assistance at the scene of the accident, other victims were hospitalized in medical institutions.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 286 (violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
