President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commissioned the development of a draft law on “updating the State Bureau of Investigation.”

Direct speech: “I instructed to prepare and promptly submit for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proposals for updating the State Bureau of Investigations. I expect that the presidential draft law will be worked out already in January and immediately submitted to the parliament.”

At the same time, the Verkhovna Rada has a registered deputy draft law from August 6 on improving the work of the State Bureau of Investigation.

In it, the authors propose to reduce the influence of the president on the formation and work of the SBI.
