“Materials with decoded routing data and the controller of the Ukrainian UAV hit by Russian air defense systems on the night of December 29, 2025 over the Novgorod region during a terrorist attack on the residence of the President of Russia, have been handed over to the representative of the military attache at the US Embassy in Moscow,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

“We assume that this measure will eliminate any questions and allow us to establish the truth,” Kostyukov said in the video.

Prehistory:

  • On Wednesday, The Wall Street Journal reported that US national security officials denied the Russian side’s claims about an alleged attack by Ukrainian drones on Putin’s residence.
  • US President Donald Trump published an editorial by the New York Post on social networks, in which Russia is accused of blocking peace in Ukraine by spreading a fake about an “attack” on the residence.
  • Ukraine has denied carrying out such an attack and called the accusations part of a Russian disinformation campaign aimed at driving a wedge between Kyiv and Washington.
