Dynamo FC (Kyiv) and the Surkis Brothers Foundation donated personalized sports equipment and goodies to children in 10 specialized social support institutions in the capital.
Also, the deputy general director of Dynamo FC (Kyiv) Maksym Radutskyi promised the children that in January, the most active and athletic among them will have a unique opportunity to conduct a joint training session with the players of the Dynamo first team.
Mykola Mykhaylenko, “Dynamo” midfielder:
– I hope that such a visit was very important for the children, because when I was a child, for example, it would have been a real “wow” for me. In fact, I will be happy if my presence today and the equipment and gifts that have been donated add even a little cheer and make these children happy.
– We are now in the walls of the lyceum boarding school for cadets. Here, first of all, discipline and respect for elders reign. How important are discipline and self-belief to achieve your dreams?
– I believe that discipline is probably the first thing that should be in sports and in life, because motivation can be effective in the short term, and discipline is a long-term perspective. And, indeed, it is very important. And self-belief also depends on many factors, but until you start believing in yourself, no one will start believing in you.
– Do you feel additional responsibility, because you are an example for children who are just starting their life path?
– Yes, of course. Especially when you also have children, you also feel responsible for them. In the same way, we understand that we are an example for many children, so our behavior and our habits can be reflected on them.
– How are you entering the new year?
– You know, one should always enter the new year with a good mood, because no matter how difficult the past year was, no matter what obstacles there were in it, all this should be left in the past. And also to learn from the mistakes and experiences of the past year.
Denys Popov, “Dynamo” defender:
– How valuable is it for you to take part in such an initiative and join the celebration?
– This is not only my initiative, but also the initiative of the entire club – to support children who currently lack parental warmth. Before such holidays, they wanted to create positive emotions and give gifts.
– You gave gifts to children who play football and actively follow Dynamo’s performances. Did you feel an additional responsibility to the young fans at this moment?
– When the children saw the gifts, they were filled with emotions, and they focused more on them. Of course, the responsibility always lies before every fan. Especially in front of children.
– What do New Year’s holidays mean to you?
– For me, this is primarily a family holiday. I try to gather the whole family every year. Of course, war has its effects, and not everyone can come. But still, it is our tradition to gather at home.
To see the genuine genuine emotions of children, the smiles on their faces and the light in their eyes, to give them faith in a bright future – this was the primary task for FC “Dynamo” (Kyiv) and the Surkis Brothers Foundation. And summing up this day, full of love, care and laughter, we can say that the task was completed “excellently”.
This is only the first stage of our cooperation. Already in January, we will definitely visit again, because ahead of us, the pupils of children’s institutions are waiting for joint physical education lessons together with football players and coaches of “Dynamo” (Kyiv).
