On January 1, Russian drones continue to attack Ukrainian cities, in particular in the Volyn, Odesa, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.

Details: Since noon on January 1, the Air Force has reported an attack by Russian drones, particularly in the Volyn and Odesa regions. Drones are also observed in Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

At 3:24 p.m., it was reported there that “near Kharkiv and in the north of Chernihiv Oblast, reconnaissance UAVs of the enemy, which may be gunners of enemy means of destruction.”

At 3:38 p.m., the Air Force reported Russian UAVs moving to Sumy and Kovel in Volyn from the north, and to Sarat in Odesa.

Prehistory:

• During the whole New Year’s Eve, the Volyn region was under massive attack by enemy strike UAVs, there were hits on critical infrastructure objects, in the area of ​​blackouts.
• On January 1, Russian troops also attacked Kherson and Kharkiv: a 31-year-old man was killed in Kherson, an 87-year-old woman was injured, and another person was injured in the suburbs of Kharkiv.
• In the morning, the Air Force reported that from the evening of December 31 to the morning of January 1, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 205 attack UAVs, 176 UAVs were destroyed, while 24 attack UAVs were hit at 15 locations.
