French defender Axel Disasi was actually left out of Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca’s plans. In the current season, the 27-year-old player has not played a single official match for the Aristocrats and is considered by the club as one of the candidates for sale to relieve the salary bill. Roma sees Disasi as an experienced leader who can add athleticism to the Romans’ defense.
The situation with Romanian Radu Dregushnin is somewhat different. Despite high hopes following his move from Genoa last year, the 23-year-old centre-back has failed to establish himself as a regular in Tottenham’s starting line-up. Dregushnin has missed almost a year with a knee injury sustained in a Europa League match last January. On December 28, in a match against Crystal Peles, the defender took the field for the first time in a long time.
According to sources, Dregushnin is open to returning to Serie A, where he has already proven himself at his best. Roma are considering a loan option that could satisfy all parties.
