Pupil of Shakhtar Donetsk Oleksandr Demchenko told about the period of stay in the Donetsk club. The football player admitted that he did not expect that he would be “asked” from the location of the “miners”.

– Why did you have to leave Shakhtar after a year?

– Well, how? Coach’s decision. Was no longer suitable as a player. That’s all. This is Shakhtar, where breeders work 24/7. If you slacked off somewhere, someone else will take your place already at lunchtime.

It was a bit strange for me, because for U-14 I played most of the matches – 60-70 percent. However, this was not enough. Maybe I was showing the wrong game or relaxed somewhere.

You have no right to relax there. You must constantly keep yourself in good shape. Not immediately, but over time I took it as a lesson.

– Did you yourself feel that you were inferior in skill to those guys who remained?

– But no. I felt that I showed and played well. Perhaps it was so. At the same time, I’m not saying that I was a prodigy at Shakhtar, and I was kicked out unfairly. There is a coach and his vision. I don’t regret anything, said Oleksandr.
