On Tuesday, December 30, the Lviv Court of Appeal considered an appeal in the case regarding the fatal wounding of a serviceman of the territorial procurement center in Lviv. Based on the results of the review, the court made a decision to keep the suspect in custody without determining the possibility of posting bail.

“The Lviv Court of Appeals held a hearing in the case of the fatal wounding of a soldier of the TCC in Lviv. On December 30, the court left the previous decision unchanged,” the message reads.
It is noted that on December 5, the Frankiv District Court of Lviv ordered the 30-year-old suspect to be remanded in custody. The defense appealed this decision.
According to the correspondent from the courtroom, the session of the appeals court started at 11:03. The suspect and his lawyer participated in the hearing via video link.
The suspect’s defense attorney asked the court to choose a milder preventive measure — with the determination of the minimum amount of bail or house arrest, arguing that the suspect has no intention of evading criminal responsibility.
At the same time, prosecutor Pavlo Kauta insisted on refusing to grant the request of the defense side and asked to leave the current preventive measure unchanged.
During the court session, the suspect stated that he was not going to avoid the trial.
After the meeting, the judges decided to leave the preventive measure unchanged — detention without bail.
