The Khmelnytskyi City and District Court convicted the 11th grade student of Lyceum No. 15 of illegally disseminating data on the location of military facilities and the movement of equipment under martial law.

According to the December 2025 verdict, the minor was sentenced to five years in prison, but was released from serving the sentence with a two-year probationary period thanks to a plea deal. The investigation established that the girl voluntarily cooperated with a representative of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, carrying out the task of photo and video recording of the buildings of the border academy, the territories of military units and the regional TCC.
In addition to filming strategic locations, the eleventh-grader, on the instructions of a Russian curator, installed a hidden video camera near a railway track to monitor echelons with ammunition and equipment. For this work, she received several money transfers in the total amount of about 3,800 hryvnias, including funds for the purchase of equipment. SBU employees discovered the camera already two hours after its installation, which made it possible to quickly detain the perpetrator and prevent the transfer of critical information to Russian intelligence.
During the court session, the girl fully admitted her guilt and repented, which gave the court grounds for softening the sentence under Article 69 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Now the convict is obliged to regularly register with the probation authorities and cannot leave the country without official permission, and her parents have been charged procedural costs in favor of the state. Law enforcement officers emphasize that similar attempts to recruit young people through social networks are part of Russia’s hybrid war, which cynically uses minors for subversive activities.
