Details: On Saturday night, the president of Ukraine held a phone conversation with the leaders of France, Germany, Italy and Poland ahead of his meeting with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago on Sunday.

Britain was represented on the conference call by Jonathan Powell, Starmer’s national security adviser.
As stated in the British government, Starmer did not plan to participate in the meeting, and emphasized that Powell regularly participates in such telephone conferences, representing Britain.
The government added that other European national security advisers were also present at the conference call.
Downing Street sources stressed that Starmer is in regular contact with Zelenskyi and other world leaders, but was unable to join the meeting on Saturday due to a “busy schedule”.
They added that he spoke to the leaders of the E3 – France, Germany and Italy – on Friday and is engaged in “continuous diplomacy” when it comes to efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
It was reported that Zelensky had a conversation with representatives of the European Union, Canada and NATO.
French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk also joined the conversation.
Following the conversation, Tusk said that the parties agreed that the key issue is security guarantees for Ukraine.
