In Kyiv, rescue operations continued for almost a day after the Russian shelling

Details: The number of victims as a result of massive shelling is unchanged – 1 person died, 32 people were injured, 2 of them were children.

The units of the State Emergency Service dismantled the debris, dismantled the emergency structures, and inspected the buildings.

At night, tents with heat guns were deployed at the locations to warm the residents of the affected houses.

More than 400 rescuers and 90 units of special equipment were involved in liquidation of the consequences.

What preceded:

  • On the night of December 27, Russian troops massively attacked Ukraine, using almost 500 UAVs and 40 missiles, including Daggers. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the main target was Kyiv – its energy and civil infrastructure.
  • One person each died in the capital and the region.
  • In the Darnytsky district of Kyiv, on the morning of December 27, debris hit a 24-story building, and an 18-story and a 10-story building were also on fire.
  • As a result of the attack on Kyiv, one of the buildings of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was damaged, as well as a dormitory of the state university “Kyiv Aviation Institute” (formerly NAU).
