“The fight in Saudi Arabia ended with a unanimous victory of the boxer from Japan”, — write: sport.ua
In the second most significant fight, the representatives of the second lightest weight (up to 55.3 kg) met in the ring – the former world champion, the Japanese Junto Nakatani (31–0, 24 KOs) and the undefeated Mexican Sebastian Hernandez (20–0, 18).
The favorite from Japan gave the center of the ring to his opponent, bidding for the job as number two. Nakatani was excellent on his feet, attacked with lightning from comfortable positions and immediately returned to the long distance.
The Mexican contender steadfastly withstood the opponent’s hits, did a good job in defense, but was inferior in speed and maneuverability.
Nakatani cold-bloodedly smashed Hernandez from a distance, using his entire arsenal – jabs, side kicks, and hooks. However, after a confident start, the favorite slowed down and allowed his opponent to level the fight.
The contender aggressively pressed Nakatani, throwing heavy blows and immediately hid in defense so as not to miss anything dangerous. Gradually, the initiative completely passed into the hands of Hernandez, who actively scored points on the judges’ notes.
In the championship rounds, both boxers continued to test each other’s stamina, throwing a huge number of punches. An incredibly spectacular and interesting match, in which the situation in the ring changed almost every second.
According to the results of 12 rounds, the judges recorded the victory of the Japanese by a unanimous decision of the judges, who can now fight with his compatriot Naoya Inoue.
