In mid-December, a 22-year-old tennis player Polina Kudermetova (WTA 104) – the younger sister of Veronika Kudermetova – changed her Russian citizenship.

Now Kudermetova Jr. will represent Uzbekistan. Polina became the third tennis player from Russia in the last two months, who switched to the flag of Uzbekistan.

This was previously done by Maria Timofeeva (WTA 143) and Kamilla Rakhimova (WTA 97). Camilla, Polina and Maria are now the top three rackets of Uzbekistan.

In addition to the three of them, Anastasia Potapova, who now represents Austria, refused the flag of the Russian Federation.

All female tennis players of Uzbekistan are in the WTA ranking
