As a result of a massive combined attack on Kyiv on the night and morning of December 27, a 71-year-old man died, 32 more people were injured, including two children.

Details: As reported by the police as of 1:30 p.m., a 71-year-old man died in the Dnipro district, his wife is in serious condition in the hospital.

The number of victims is 32, including two children.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than 10 high-rise residential buildings, private houses, and civil infrastructure were damaged in Kyiv.

In the Darnytskyi district, almost 70 elderly people from a boarding house were rescued from the epicenter of the attack.

At 4:09 p.m., the State Emergency Service reported that emergency and rescue operations are ongoing in the Dnipro, Darnytskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts of the capital. The rescuers carry out the analysis of rubble, the dismantling of emergency structures and the examination of damaged buildings.

RDA staffs are working on the ground to assist the population, KARS units, communal services are involved, and volunteer organizations have also joined. Heating stations have been deployed, field kitchens are working, and assistance is being provided to the victims.

What preceded: On the night of December 27, Russian troops en masse attacked Ukraine, using almost 500 UAVs and 40 missiles, including “Daggers”. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the main target was Kyiv – its energy and civil infrastructure.

In the capital and region died one person at a time.

IN Darnytsia district Kyiv in the morning of December 27 debris hit a 24-story buildingand the 18th and 10th floors were also on fire.

As a result of another shelling, “a significant number of consumers” were cut off in Kyiv and the region, there are also blackouts in Chernihiv Oblast, reported in “Ukrenergo”.

As a result of the attack on Kyiv, one of the buildings of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was damaged, as well as a dormitory of the state university “Kyiv Aviation Institute” (formerly NAU).
