Zelensky also added that such meetings as his personal negotiations with US President Donald Trump planned in Florida should help “bring the desired result closer.”
According to him, the proposed plan has four sides: Ukraine, the USA, Russia and Europe.
“Of course, 20 points cannot be signed without Russia, without the Europeans. Yes, a quadrilateral agreement. But we have bilateral agreements. And again, this is another question, whether we sign them with the president (Trump. – ed.) or not – we need to discuss them again. And, as I said, there are changes to all these documents daily by our groups of negotiators. I think that some things can be put to rest.” – added Zelensky.
In addition, the Ukrainian president was skeptical about the possibility that the Russian side would agree to the proposed plan. In this context, he emphasized that the Russian Federation is always looking for reasons to refuse.
“If Ukraine shows its position, it is constructive, and Russia does not agree, then the pressure is not enough. And I also want to discuss this with the US president,” he added.
