Atlético Mineiro announced on the club’s official website that they had reached an agreement to sign a contract with left-back Renan Lodi.

The agreement between the club and the 27-year-old footballer will be for five years. The final signing of the contract and the official presentation of the player will take place after passing medical examinations, which are scheduled for December 26. Lodi is expected to arrive in Belo Horizonte today at 7:00 am to complete all formalities.

Renan Lodi’s last club was Saudi Al Hilal. As part of the team, the defender played 56 matches, scored four goals and provided 11 assists. Before the start of the current season, by the decision of Simone Inzaghi, the football player was not included in the application for the championship, after which the parties agreed to terminate the contract.

In Europe, Lodi is best known for his performances for Atletico Madrid. As part of the Spanish club, he played 118 matches, scoring six goals and ten assists. In addition, he played for Marseille, Nottingham Forest, Atlético Paranaense and Al-Hilal.
