According to the military, on the morning of December 17, two guards who were standing at the command and observation post (KSP) were the first to see two people in uniform on the street. They could not determine whether they were Russians, so they went to check with other soldiers in the basement.

“We said that it was the enemy. As soon as they went upstairs, the enemy was already facing them. They did not open fire, but went down to us in the basement, they said that they were already on the first floor. Bohdan (the company commander – ed.) and another boy stood on the stairwell. This boy was the first to step forward, Bohdan the second. And automatic rounds immediately started. It was at this moment that the commander died mouth,” says the officer.

Then the military began to throw grenades, took up defenses on the KSP, completely blocked all entrances and began to call for the evacuation of the wounded. “They said that they would search now, but they dragged him so much that by the evening he was already bleeding,” he says.

The military enlisted drone pilots to watch from above and called artillery fire on them: “Everything started to be disassembled, we were sitting in the basement at the time. Then the drones did the cleaning.”

“Our Internet was cut off. We don’t know what’s going on up there. We took up a circular defense, and we sat like that all night, listening to see if someone would go to clean the first floor so that we could get out,” says the interlocutor of the publication.

During that time, the military decided to burn classified documents and laptops in the room where the FPV drone hit. The officer does not know who burned the laptops that were eventually left on the tables. In addition, they had orders to spill specially left gasoline during the exit to set fire to the headquarters, but this did not happen.

The fighters waited all night for cleaning and evacuation, but, according to the officer, “no one did anything.” So already at 5:30 a.m. the next day, they realized that they had to make decisions about leaving the KSP groups on their own.

“We went out for three days. On the second day, we reached the position of the allies and contacted (the outside world and reported) that we were alive. We went to land, we were “burned” by drones. When we were moving to the shelter, the chief of staff died from two drops,” said the officer.

The soldiers stayed in the shelter for a day, and in the morning they made a dash and, thanks to the fog, reached the place where they were taken.

When asked whether there was classified information on the carriers left at the headquarters, the officer said that he was not ready to say so. But he took his own, and burned some.

“Probably, there was just panic. The basement should have completely caught fire. Gasoline was prepared, and someone just didn’t light it. All the valuable information that could have been there about the positions is simply irrelevant,” he claims.

After this situation, the brigade or corps command did not contact the soldiers, the officer says. But since December 25, they have been checked by counter-intelligence, the battalion commander was suspended, and those who left their positions are offered to be transferred to the 225th separate assault regiment.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, at that time the headquarters was located 700 meters from the combat line.

“They said that it is not possible to move. I was a witness when the brigade called and shouted that you are lying, that you are in Gulyaipol, let the drone film you, you have to wave the pen that you are really there. This is exactly the second day after we waved the pen, such an occasion happened,” said the officer.
