Details: The Romanian Ministry of Defense said that on the night of December 26 at 01:05, two F-16 fighters from the 86th Air Base in Feteşti were taken into the air to monitor the situation in the airspace of the border zone with Ukraine, in the north of Tulcea County.

The aerial surveillance system of the country’s Ministry of Defense detected groups of drones launched by the Russian Federation in the direction of Ukrainian ports on the Danube.
At 01:23 a.m., the population of the northern part of Tulcea county received an air alert.
During the mission, the fighters did not record any incursions into the national airspace. The planes returned to the base and landed safely at 03:15 at night.
Prehistory:
