Priest and blogger from Ternopil region, Oleksiy Filyuk, made a sensational statement, calling the war in Ukraine the result of 12 million abortions, which, according to him, have been carried out since independence.

Host Marichka Dovbenko asked the priest what exactly he meant when he made such statements. “You said that this war is a punishment for Ukrainians for the 12 million abortions they have performed since the day of Independence,” the interviewer clarified.
To this, Oleksiy Filyuk replied that he really spoke about something similar and explained his words. “Today, if 12 million aborted children were to be put on the defensive, they would throw their hats at Mokshan residents,” he said.
According to the priest, the fact that there are countries in Europe where the percentage of abortions is higher and there is no war is a matter of time. He claims that similar history is repeating itself. “As the Apostle James says: Why are there wars among you? Because of your cruelty. And the blood of those innocent murdered, aborted children during the time of independence. These are approximate statistics. This is what happens in hospitals. And it can be many times more,” said Oleksiy Filyuk.
He also added that these statistics have “terrible numbers”. “Today we have a demographic crisis, we have no one to fight, because few children are born. This is our gene pool,” said the priest.
