The NORAD Tracks Santa program has been running in the US since 1955. On the eve of Christmas, the joint command publishes the route of Santa Claus, who leaves the North Pole and delivers gifts to children around the world.

Employees of the command report on Santa’s movements to the President of the United States, who then informs the children.
