General Staff: Novoshakhtinsk Oil Products Plant was hit by Storm Shadow missiles

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that on December 25, Air Force units launched a successful attack by Storm Shadow air-based cruise missiles on the Novoshakhty Oil Products Plant in the Rostov Region of the Russian Federation.

Details: According to the military, numerous explosions were recorded. The target has been hit, the extent of the damage is being determined.

The Novoshakhty plant is one of the largest suppliers of petroleum products in the south of the Russian Federation and is directly involved in the provision of the armed forces of the Russian Federation. The enterprise, in particular, supplies the occupying army with diesel fuel and aviation kerosene.

The total volume of the plant’s tanks is more than 210,000 cubic meters.

What happened before:

• Prior to that, residents of Novoshakhtynsk, Rostov region, reported a large number of explosions and a fire at the local petroleum products plant, the governor of the region confirmed that the explosions occurred as a result of an air attack.
• As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there were also Ukrainian troops on the night of August 21 affected Novoshakhty Oil Products Plant in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation.
