Strengthening the defense becomes a priority due to constant injuries to Stefan Savych and Ukrainian center back Arseniy Batagov. Nwaivu played 16 matches in all competitions this season and scored one goal.
Trabzonspor is third in the Turkish Super League with 35 points. The team will play its next match on January 5 against Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Cup.
