Forward of Shakhtar Lassina Traore came on as a substitute in Burkina Faso in the 70th minute, and within a minute sent the ball into the net of the opponent’s goal. However, after a VAR review, this goal was disallowed for offside.
The resolution came at the end of the second half. In the 85th minute, Equatorial Guinea took advantage of their chance, and Marvin Aniebo opened the scoring (1:0).
However, at the end of the meeting, the stallions created a super comeback – the final assault was successful. George Minungu equalized the score at 90+5 minutes, and Edmon Tapsoba brought victory to the favorites at 90+8 minutes (2:1)
In Group E, the national team of Burkina Faso scored 3 points, Equatorial Guinea leaves without scoring points. Algeria and Sudan will play in the other match of this quartet.
