The deal between Milan and West Ham involves a loan deal until the end of the season with an option to buy in the summer for around €5 million. In the new team, the German striker will play under number 9.
West Ham consider the transfer a good business decision, as the club will save at least €1.3 million in net wages before the end of the season.
It is expected that the Londoners will sign at least one new forward already during the January transfer window – the club is actively studying the market. Earlier it was reported that one of the candidates for reinforcement is Roma’s Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk.
