Italian club Pisa may change head coach due to poor results in the 2025-26 Serie A season. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Alberto Gilardino is on the verge of retirement, and Davide Ancelotti may take his place.

Pisa has just one win, is 19th in the standings and just three points behind the safety zone. Stefano Moreo’s late goal against Cagliari last weekend only temporarily delayed Gilardino’s possible sacking.

The team’s next match against Juventus will be critical: in case of defeat, the club will probably say goodbye to the coach. Pisa plans to strengthen during the January transfer window, but already with a new mentor at the helm.

Davide Ancelotti was recently sacked by Botafogo after his first season in charge and Pisa sees him as a potential candidate to stabilize the squad and improve results.
