The Cabinet of Ministers appealed to the National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and Communal Services (NKREKP) with a request to postpone the planned increase in water tariffs for the population, Prime Minister Yuliya Svyridenko reported in Telegram.

“Water tariffs for people should remain unchanged. The government appealed to the NCRECP to postpone the planned tariff changes. Our position is clear: in the conditions of war, people should not feel additional financial pressure,” Svyridenko wrote.

She added that the authorities are looking for a compromise solution that balances the interests of consumers and water utilities so that the latter do not suffer losses and accumulate debts.

“The next step is that the government together with the NCRECP will work out a joint solution,” the Prime Minister stressed.

As a reminder, Ukrainians will receive additional payments for gas in December.

Yasno CEO also explained why electricity payments do not decrease despite the blackout.
