The training involved intensive training in providing emergency medical care directly on the football field in accordance with the UEFA Medical Education curriculum. The participants practiced the algorithms of actions in critical situations, in particular, in the case of loss of consciousness, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, injuries to the head, spine and lower limbs, which are the most dangerous in football practice.
A separate block was devoted to lectures on the most common injuries in football, their prevention, early diagnosis and modern approaches to treatment. The lecturers shared their clinical experience of managing injuries, chronic problems, as well as the specifics of returning players to the training process after injuries.
It was also about organizational issues of medical support for football matches and doping control. The attention of physical therapists was also paid to modern methods of physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Practical interest was aroused by taping classes, during which the participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with modern techniques.
The event became an important platform for learning practical skills and improving the qualifications of medical staffs of football clubs, sharing experience and implementing modern European standards of medical care in Ukrainian football.
