The British neobank Revolut suspends the provision of services to residents of Ukraine due to the requirements of local legislation. The decision applies to all Ukrainian users of the platform.
The bank informed about this to clients from Ukraine who managed to open an account at the beginning of the year, writes Forbes Ukraine.
The company said that within 60 days, users will be able to use accounts as usual and withdraw funds. After this period, the accounts will be closed. All payments and transfers sent to a closed account will be automatically returned to the sender.
Revolut advises users to withdraw all funds and download statements in advance. Unused balances are converted into euros and transferred to the client’s external bank account.
All open positions in cryptocurrency and metals must be closed on your own before the lock-out date. If this does not happen, the company will sell them and credit the proceeds to the main account.
Funds from joint accounts and Kids & Teens will be transferred to the main account before closure, and Revolut promises a refund for already paid but unused paid plans.
